There are 4 types of permission levels in the product.

Sensor Terminals (RED)

Screw-type terminal blocks for secure connection of sensors.

Ensure proper tightening of terminals to prevent loose connections, ensuring accurate temperature readings.

Sensor Activity Indicator (YELLOW)

LED that blinks every time a connected sensor is being read, indicating active sensor communication.

Useful for verifying sensor connectivity and activity, providing real-time feedback on sensor status.

Server Connectivity Indicator (GREEN)

LED that indicates the device's connection status to the server.

Allows quick assessment of server connectivity status, ensuring seamless data transmission.

Status Indicators:

  1. ON = Connected

  2. OFF = Not Connected

Fault Indicator (LIGHT CYAN)

LED indicator with blinking patterns based on system status.

Helps diagnose system faults for timely troubleshooting and maintenance.

Blinking Patterns:

  1. System OK: 1 blink every 3 seconds.

  2. Sensor Fail: 1 blink every second.

  3. Peripheral Fail: 2 blinks per second.

Test Points (LIGHT BLUE)

Designated points for probing and measuring basic voltage levels on the board.

Useful for diagnostics and troubleshooting during maintenance, ensuring smooth operation of the device.

USB Connector (LIGHT ORANGE)

Uploads firmware to the device and provides a serial connection for system debugging.

Essential for firmware updates and debugging tasks, ensuring firmware integrity and performance.

FTDI Provision (DARK ORANGE)

Optional connector for an external FTDI cable for firmware upload and debugging purposes.

Provides an alternative method for firmware upload and debugging if needed, enhancing flexibility in device maintenance.

I2C Provision (LIGHT GREEN)

Connector for an external I2C peripheral such as a display, sensor, or SD data logger (not included).

Allows expansion with compatible peripherals for enhanced functionality, enabling customization to meet specific monitoring needs.

System Reset (DARK BLUE)

Button to manually reset the system.

Use in case of system freeze or malfunction, restoring the device to a stable state for continued operation.

Input Power Ports (DARK PURPLE)

Provision to power the system through an external DC source.

Ensure correct voltage and polarity to avoid damage to the device, providing reliable power supply for uninterrupted operation.
